Courtney joined the firm in 2024, bringing with her a strong background in civil litigation and
administrative law. Before joining the firm, she served as General Counsel for the Kansas State
Board of Healing Arts, where she gained extensive, hands-on experience working with physicians, chiropractors, and other allied health professionals. This role provided her with a deep
understanding of the complex regulatory framework governing healthcare and the strategies needed to successfully navigate administrative proceedings.
Courtney’s unique insight into healthcare regulation, professional licensing, disciplinary matters, and appellate work positions her as a valuable advocate for healthcare providers. She has a proven track record of defending providers in high-stakes medical malpractice actions, where she combines her litigation skills with her knowledge of regulatory compliance to craft strong, effective defenses.
In her practice, Courtney continues to represent healthcare professionals in medical negligence
litigation as well as in licensure and disciplinary actions stemming from complaints or investigations by state administrative agencies. Her combination of litigation experience and regulatory expertise allows her to protect her clients’ professional reputations while achieving the best possible outcomes in both the courtroom and the administrative arena.
Courtney lives in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband and son.
