In June 2012, Fred Logan was elected by his colleagues to serve as Vice Chair of the Kansas Board of Regents. The nine-member board is the governing board of the state’s six public universities and the coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions. This includes seven public universities, 19 community colleges and six technical colleges. Board of Regents members serve four-year terms. Fred was appointed to the board by Gov. Sam Brownback in July 2011.
